The rain-soaked conditions provided a challenge for many drivers, including championship contender Max Verstappen, who will start in 17th due to a grid penalty. Meanwhile, Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton failed to make it out of Q1 after struggling in the wet weather, and will start from the back of the grid.
During an interview with The Paddock Project, Formula One driver Yuki Tsunoda was asked who he would choose to be stranded with on an island. To everyone's surprise, he chose his former teammate Daniel Ricciardo over his close friend Pierre Gasly. Tsunoda cited Ricciardo's jovial personality and their shared love for singing and wine as the reasons for his choice. Despite only spending a short time as teammates, Tsunoda credits Ricciardo for helping him become more composed both on and off the track.
