Prime Minister Modi visited Srinagar for the first time since the scrapping of Article 370 and launched over 50 development projects worth Rs 6,400 crore. He also interacted with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat-Viksit Jammu and Kashmir program. In his address to the residents of the Valley, PM Modi emphasized the government's focus on the development and growth of Jammu and Kashmir, through initiatives like the Swadesh Darshan scheme and Wed in India program. He also praised the state's booming tourism industry and expressed his confidence in the state's ability to overcome any challenges.
