Tom Cruise is working with Paramount to produce a new Top Gun movie, despite recently signing a deal with Warner Bros. The sequel, which is still in early development, will see Cruise reprise his role as Pete Mitchell, and is expected to feature returning cast members Miles Teller and Glen Powell. The film is not expected to be released anytime soon, as Cruise is currently working on the eighth Mission: Impossible movie.
Following the immense success of 'Top Gun: Maverick' and recent studio deals, a third film in the 'Top Gun' franchise has been confirmed, with Tom Cruise on board to star alongside Miles Teller and Glen Powell. Director Joseph Kosinski is speculated to produce as well, with plans to continue the story of mentor Pete "Maverick" Mitchell and his protégés Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw and Jake "Hangman" Seresin. Paramount, the studio behind both 'Top Gun' and Cruise's popular 'Mission: Impossible' series, will be overseeing production for what is sure to be another blockbuster hit for the actor.
