The Punjab police have been unsuccessful in locating a wanted criminal named Pardeep Kaler, who was allegedly seen in a Facebook post with Uttar Pradesh minister Surya Pratap Shahi. Kaler is a key member of the Dera Sirsa administration and has been wanted in Punjab since 2018 for his involvement in the Bargari sacrilege case. The post, which has since been deleted, showed Kaler attending an event in Ayodhya with the minister. The police have yet to confirm Kaler's presence in the pictures.
YouTuber and journalist Shyam Meera Singh informed the Delhi High Court that he would delete all tweets made by him regarding a defamation case filed against him by Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Singh agreed to refrain from discussing the ongoing case on social media and other platforms until its final disposal. The Delhi High Court took note of Singh's statement and scheduled the next hearing for September 20, 2021.
