Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has lifted a previous restriction for BPL cardholders, ensuring that electricity subsidies reach eligible families, regardless of their electricity bill. The announcement also includes a monthly provision of 2 liters of mustard oil for BPL cardholders with an annual income of ₹1,80,000 or less. These measures aim to support economically vulnerable households and ensure welfare schemes reach those in need. To be eligible for a BPL card in Haryana, an individual's monthly income must not exceed ₹6,400 in rural areas or ₹11,850 in urban areas.
