A sneak peek of Lord Ram Lalla's statue was unveiled on Friday, captivating devotees with its stunning beauty. The statue, crafted by Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj, will be consecrated on January 22 during the pran pratishtha ceremony at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The auspicious moment will be marked with the removal of the cloth covering the idol's eyes and the application of honey to a gold bar. The statue, weighing approximately 150-200kg, is carved from black stone and depicts a five-year-old Lord Ram standing with a golden bow and arrow.
Excitement is building up in Ayodhya as the first images of the new 51-inch Ram Lalla idol, made by Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj, is revealed. The idol, depicting Lord Ram as a five-year-old child standing on a lotus, was unveiled during a placement ceremony on Thursday, ahead of the grand consecration ceremony on January 22. The old idol, worshipped for 70 years, will also be kept in the sanctum sanctorum of the new temple.
