Puja Khedkar, an IAS officer who ranked 821 in the UPSC exams, has been transferred to Washim district in Maharashtra after being accused of misusing her authority. She is said to have used privileges meant for senior officers, used a government board on her private car, and occupied a colleague's office without permission, among other allegations. This case has raised questions about ethics and accountability in the bureaucracy.
A 2022 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre, Pooja Khedkar, is facing accusations of submitting fake OBC and disability certificates in order to clear the civil services exam. This came to light after Khedkar, who used her private Audi car with a VIP number plate and red-blue beacon, was transferred following complaints of power misuse. Her father, who recently contested in the Lok Sabha election declared his property to be worth Rs 40 crore, while Khedkar claimed to have an annual parental income within the creamy layer certificate limitation of Rs 8 lakh for the OBC category.
