Preeti Pal, a 23-year-old sprinter from Uttar Pradesh, created a personal best timing of 14.21 seconds in the Women's 100m - T35 Final at the Paris Paralympics to clinch the bronze medal. Preeti, who was born with physical challenges, has had to overcome several obstacles to reach this stage, including multiple treatments and wearing callipers for eight years. However, her passion for para-sports and mentorship from Paralympian Fathima Khatoon has motivated her to become the first Indian to win a medal in track events at the Paralympic Games.
