The sudden demise of 2023-batch IPS officer Harsh Bardhan in a road accident while on his way to his first posting in Karnataka has left the nation in shock. The young officer, who had cleared the civil services exam in his first attempt, will be laid to rest in his native place in Bihar. The incident occurred when the tyre of the police vehicle he was traveling in burst, causing the driver to lose control and hit a house and a tree. Bardhan's father, who is also a government officer, is on his way to Karnataka to collect his son's mortal remains.
