Harpreet Singh, the brother of pro-Khalistan MP Amritpal Singh, was arrested by Punjab Police along with another person for possession of four grams of methamphetamine. The police had videographed the arrest and confirmed that Harpreet Singh was under the influence of drugs at the time. Amritpal Singh, who first gained attention for his anti-drug campaign, won the Lok Sabha elections with the highest margin in Punjab but has faced controversy for making provocative pro-Khalistan statements. He was eventually arrested for anti-national activities and is currently under the National Security Act (NSA).
