With the inauguration of 14 new government degree colleges in remote areas of Odisha, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj believes that education is the key to empowering the youth and bringing about change in society. These new colleges will not only create interest in higher education among students, but also decrease the dropout percentage. With this initiative, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Higher Education department Arvind Agarwal hopes that students in remote regions of Odisha will now have better access to education. Legislators Laxman Munda and Pabitra Saunta also commended this revolutionary step in the field of education.
