Sisodia claimed that he was not worried about his bail, but was pained to see businessmen being dragged into "fake cases" for not donating to the BJP.

Mukhtar Ansari, a former MLA with over 60 criminal cases pending against him, died in Banda jail at the age of 60 on Thursday following a heart attack. His death comes after previous concerns about his health and allegations of food laced with poison given to him in jail. Ansari's name was on the list of 66 gangsters issued by Uttar Pradesh Police in 2023. His family had expressed fears about a possible fake encounter before his death.
