The quake was reported to occur at a depth of 220 km and struck at a depth of 206.6 km near Jurm in Afghanistan. Residents in these areas are advised to stay vigilant and follow safety precautions.
Four earthquakes, including one measuring 5.5 magnitude on the Richter Scale, struck the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Monday. The tremors were felt in Ladakh's Kargil and Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar. Fortunately, there are no reports of any damage so far.
