According to its Q2 earnings statement, Dabur India Ltd, a leading FMCG company, reported a decline in consolidated net profit by 17.65% to Rs 417.52 crore due to high food inflation and decrease in urban demand. Its total expenses were down by 1.31%, while standalone revenue from operations showed an 8.17% decrease. Despite the challenging environment, Dabur continued to engage consumers and recorded a consolidated revenue of Rs 3,029 crore in the quarter.
Dabur India has signed actor Nagarjuna Akkineni as the new brand ambassador for its oral care brand, Dabur Meswak. This collaboration aims to increase the brand's presence in South India, utilizing Nagarjuna's widespread popularity. The new campaign, "Nothing like Meswak", will be launched on TV and digital platforms. Nagarjuna expressed his excitement at working with Dabur Meswak, a brand he has personally trusted for years, due to its complete oral care formula that aligns with his health values. Abhishek Jugran, Executive Vice President-Marketing at Dabur India, stated that the brand's vegan, PETA certified and natural ingredients, along with Nagarjuna's influential presence, will reinforce Dabur Meswak's unique proposition and bolster its market position.
