The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently conducting raids at over 67 locations in Odisha, targeting an interstate gang involved in supplying fake certificates to candidates appearing for the Gramin Dak Sevak Exam. The raids, which involve over 200 officials, are being carried out following a complaint from the Director of Postal Services in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The gang is believed to have been involved in creating and supplying forged 10th pass certificates from various boards, including those in Allahabad, Kolkata, and Ranchi, to boost the chances of candidates in the recruitment process.
The Supreme Court has taken action on a PIL filed by Hiten Singh Kashyap, seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged question paper leak and other irregularities in the NEET-UG exam. The court has also requested responses from the Centre, National Testing Agency (NTA), and the Bihar government within two weeks. This case will also be taken up with other similar cases on July 8.
