As the results for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in one of the biggest elections in the world are declared, Congress's Prashant Yadaorao Padole has won the Bhandara-Gondiya constituency in Maharashtra. In a seat-sharing agreement, BJP won 28 out of 48 seats, while its alliance partners NCP, Shiv Sena, and RSP are competing on 4, 15, and 1 seats, respectively. The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi won 21, 17, and 10 seats for Shiv Sena, Congress, and NCP, respectively. In the last Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra, BJP and Shiv Sena won 23 and 18 seats, respectively, while NCP and Congress won 4 and 1 seats, respectively.
