The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, to be jointly hosted by West Indies and USA, will have designated reserve days for the semifinals and final. This decision comes after the criticism faced by the ICC for not having reserve days in previous editions. The ICC has also approved playing conditions for the 2024 edition and announced the qualification process for the 2026 edition, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. With a total of 20 teams, 12 teams will qualify automatically based on rankings, while the remaining eight positions will be filled through regional qualifiers.
