Despite facing yet another obstacle in registering two of their top players, Barcelona breezed past Barbastro 4-0 in the Copa del Rey on Saturday. Arsenal fans were surprised to see Martin Odegaard on the bench in the clash against Brighton, especially given his recent performances as captain. However, coach Mikel Arteta reveals that the decision was made due to the player not fully recovering from an illness, along with another key player Havertz. This comes as a rare occurrence for the usually consistent playmaker, but it seems to be a precautionary measure by the team.
Barcelona suffers another setback as they fail to extend the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor for the second half of the season. Tempers flared during the final two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25 as 19-year-old Australian opener Sam Konstas drew the ire of the Indian team with his aggressive batting. After the infamous shoulder clash between Konstas and Kohli, it was now Yashasvi Jaiswal's turn to sledge the young batter in Hindi. Adding another layer to the heated exchange, Jaiswal refused to pronounce Konstas' name properly. Eventually, Australia was all out for 181, giving India a four-run lead.
Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant accused Australian opener Sam Konstas of trying to waste time during the last few minutes of playing on Friday. The heated confrontation between Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah and Konstas took place when Bumrah started his over just a few minutes before the allotted time for Stumps. Pant, who was behind the stumps, claims that he couldn't hear what was said but believes that Australia's intention was to avoid facing another Indian over. Although they were successful in doing so, Bumrah managed to get a vital wicket before Stumps was called. Fellow Australian all-rounder Beau Webster hopes that Konstas can back up his confident words with a strong performance on Saturday.

With Jasprit Bumrah taking over the reins, India made another change by bringing in Shubman Gill for Akash Deep, who was suffering from back stiffness. Meanwhile, Australia announced their playing XI one day prior and are set to give Beau Webster his international debut.
